As we approach the start of the Fall season, I’d like to welcome each and every
member; whether old or new, back to all of the varied activities and events. We hope that you had a wonderful summer and that it has left you with enjoyable memories. General Meeting Reminder The general meetings and executive meetings have been changed to quarterly and will occur in March, June, September and November. The dates for the next four general meetings are as follows: Monday, September 16, 2024 Monday, November 18, 2024 Monday, March 17, 2024 Monday, June 16, 2024 Please mark these dates on your calendars! All meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. Guest Speaker - September General Meeting The guest speaker for the September Meeting is Lisa English. Lisa is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. She will be providing a workshop on Bone Health related to a variety of topics. It should prove interesting and informative. 54+ Club Newsletter Fall Edition Club Barbecue Tuesday, September the 10th. As a beginning to the new season, we hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend the BBQ. Doors open at noon and food will be available at 12:30. Come and enjoy a barbecued hamburger and relax and make new friends or renew old acquaintances. The event will occur rain or shine but let’s hope for a nice, sunny day! “Got Em” Tickets will be available for those interested! Acoustic Country Jammers return to 54+ Club Your favorite musicians are returning to the club and welcome all interested in attending to an afternoon of music and dance. The dates for the sessions are Wednesday, September 18, 2024; Wednesday, October 17, 2024, Wednesday, November 21, 2024 and a Christmas Event in December which is yet To Be Announced. The sessions run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and we hope that they are well attended and enjoyed by each and every toe-tapping individual present. Artist’s Workshop with Guest Presenter Hello Members, 54Plus Club Christmas Luncheon I know that Christmas is still off in the not-too-distant future but with only 4 newsletters a year we wanted to give you the information as early as possible. The luncheon is set for Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Allison Legion. The cost is $35.00/person. We have a new caterer this year who will provide you with a wonderful Turkey dinner with all the fixins. The luncheon is open to all members along with their significant others. At this time, there will be 120 tickets available for sale. Tickets will be allotted to all of the various activities and groups within the club. They will be available for purchase from the various coordinators starting on Monday November 11th Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase on: Tuesday, November 19th from noon until 4:00 p.m. |
